Member Card

Making Safe Payments Safer

We issue chip enabled MemberCards® that provide additional protection to avoid disclosure of personal information and are very difficult to copy, creating a multi-layered defense against fraud and identity theft.

What is the difference for me?

Not much. When using your chip card to make a purchase, it remains in the merchant’s terminal for the duration of the transaction, rather than being swiped through. As always, you’ll enter your PIN and follow the prompts to complete your transaction. At an ATM you’ll notice no difference at all. But in both cases, the chip card protects your information and makes your transaction more secure than ever.

How do I change my PIN?

If you’d like to change your PIN, or if you’ve forgotten it, just visit any of our branches to have it re-set. If you are unable to visit one of our locations you can also visit a variety of credit union branches across Canada and they will be able to re-set the PIN for you.
